Dear Dewey Pest Control client,
The health and safety of our clients and employees is and always has been our #1 priority. As we continue to closely monitor developments related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we want to assure you that Dewey Pest Control is taking all the necessary precautions in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as health officials.
We have revised our Company Protocol in accordance with CDC recommendations. Interior treatments and inspections are only being done if absolutely necessary, and will only be done after our entry questionnaire is completed by the client and deemed safe for entry. When service work can be performed outside of the home or business, we will complete our work with minimal to no client contact. Our field employees are all equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to remain safe. This includes respirators, gloves, eye protection and clothing to which we conform with safety requirements established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
The professional pest control industry, an essential service, is responsible for the protection of public health, food, and property. We play a vital role in protecting our nation’s public health and food supply. Pests can spread diseases such as West Nile virus, Lyme disease, salmonellosis, hantavirus and encephalitis. Stinging insects force half a million people to emergency rooms every year. Cockroach and rodent allergens trigger asthma attacks in children; rodents contaminate about 20% of the world’s food supply and bed bugs can cause allergic reactions. The importance of the pest control industry to the nation as an essential service cannot be understated.
